Customizations

In follow-up to evaluation(s), device(s) are designed and developed for the person's functional capabilities and individualized needs with manufactured, existing technologies and/or environments used by the person.

Examples:

• Hand and power tools fitted with custom grips.  These can capitalize on an person's unique stregnths and also help reduce fatugue;

• Customized workstation with equipment within a person's range of motion.  The work is brought to the worker;
• Furniture modified to the person's physical conditions and ergonomics;
• Ramps, grabbars, door openings, living spaces that are designed to be accessable and best utilize existing structures;
• Customized software and hardware to an individual's speech, vision, hearing, body movements and language;
